Hi friends! Exciting news… today’s the day! We’re officially pushing off from basecamp today at around 10 AM. The winds from winter storm Gianna have finally passed us by and we are able to safely set out on our voyage. For the next 4 days we’ll be sailing around the backcountry keys, getting a feel for Eliza Sue and finish training up on her. We’ll be dropping Bart and Sockeye off at a road head after that and setting out to the backcountry again until the 10th. We have a resupply planned for that day so hopefully we’ll be able to post another update then!
I also just want to say a quick THANK YOU(!!!!) to everyone that has already donated to World Central Kitchen and Futaleufú Riverkeeper. It’s so cool to see so many people rally behind these two great organizations that we have the honor of fundraising for.
